CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
The Children’s Ministry serves children from infancy through grade 6 (Route 56 serves grades 5 & 6). Our vision is to foster in each child the desire to discover God in a personal way, leaving an eternal imprint of God’s love on his/her life.
YOUTH MINISTRY
The Youth Ministry at Colonial Heights Christian Church serves grades 7-12. Activities take place in The Loft and its nearby classrooms, located in the Family Life Center, on the second floor near the gymnasium.
MISSIONS TEAM
Encouraging and facilitating the love of Jesus as evidenced by local, national, and global efforts to go into all the world, to make disciples, and to teach obedience to God’s commands. Opportunities include local and world-wide trips to serve those in need.
FOOD MINISTRY
The mission of The Pantry at Colonial Heights Christian Church is to share the love of Jesus Christ by caring for the spiritual and practical needs of the community. This Ministry began in 1996 primarily to assist members, families, and friends of the church. By God’s Blessing, and with the help of many dedicated volunteers, the food pantry quickly grew and now provides food and other needed items to over 600 families per month in the Kingsport area.
music ministry
Worshiping God, glorifying Him, and encouraging His people. Opportunities include serving on a worship team or in the choir.
seniors ministry
Reaching and ministering to the needs of all senior adults 50+ within the church and our community. Opportunities include quarterly meals and occasional day trips to local places of interest.
connections
Helping ensure visitors and guests feel noticed and welcome. Opportunities include serving as greeters, ushers, guest services attendants, and on the traffic team.
womens ministry
Providing a secure and nurturing environment, embracing one another, where ALL women will be ministered to and, in turn, can minister to others. Opportunities include small groups who meet in homes or at church, women’s Bible studies, service groups within the church, and fellowship activities such as an annual retreat and spring tea.
CARE TEAM
The Care Team serves the church family by providing phone calls, cards of encouragement, in-person visits, and other various needs as they arise. For those newer to CHCC, this is an especially great way to serve and get to know others.
property team
Maintaining and developing the real property to include the interior and exterior of all structures and the grounds that surround them. Opportunities include serving on lawn mowing teams, helping with Saturday chair set-up, and carrying out special projects.
media ministry
Working behind the scenes, helping to bring music and video to church services and special events.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Connecting church members, staff, and leaders to each other and to the community. Opportunities include planning for future technological needs of the church.
